The people of Owuwa Anyanwu Autonomous Community in Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia State, have sent their heartfelt appreciation to the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti for his commitment in ensuring that the Nkwebi – Ndi Aku – Ndi Uduma Ukwu – Oboro Ozuobam Road and the gully erosion ravaging the area is fixed.

The commendation was made by the Anyanwu 1 of Owuwa Anyanwu Autonomous Community, HRH Eze Elder Odum Amogu, following the visit of engineers from the Abia state ministry of environment to the erosion sites which has affected major parts of the road and their farm lands.

He said “Governor Otti is a man of his words, I have no doubt he will fulfil the promised he made during the media chat to fix this road for us”.

“This road has not been touched since the Mbakwe era and Ndi Aku, Ndi Uduma Ukwu and Oboro Communities have suffered for decades as a result of this road. Can you believe that a child born during the rainy season will not see any vehicle in these communities until the dry season? That is how bad it has been”.

Recall, Governor Otti had during the January 2026 media chat tagged “Governor Alex Otti Speaks to Abians” promised to add the construction of the road to the supplementary budget if it is not captured in the 2026 budget.

Eze Amogu and other members of the communities who trouped out en masse to receive the engineers from the Ministry of Environment thanked Governor Otti for his developmental strides across the state and called on the governor to remain focused despite distractions from some quarters.

They vowed not to relent in supporting Governor Otti and to protect every government infrastructure that will be put in place in their communities
