IBINA IHENTA OHAFIA COMMUNITY SAYS OTTI IS GOD SENT, THANKS HIM FOR EQUIPPING HEALTH CENTRE, APPEALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF EBEM IBINA ROAD

The people of Ibina Ihenta Ohafia have expressed sincere appreciation to the Governor Alex Otti led government for renovating and fully equipping the primary health centre (PHC) in their community with the state of the art hospital equipment.

 

The appreciation was made on Friday when members of the community led by their paramount ruler, Eziego Kalu Awa Kalu Ukoha visited the health centre to have an on the spot assessment of the newly installed medical equipment.

 

Speaking to Ogori TV, Eziego Kalu Awa Kalu Ukoha applauded Governor Otti for remembering his community after so many years of neglect. The traditional ruler who visibly elated described Governor Otti as God sent.

He says the equipment they now have in the health centre are not even found in many hospitals and expressed appreciation to Governor Otti and his Deputy, Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu for showing that their health matters.

 

He assured of his community’s support and emphasised that wherever the governor is, is where they belong.

Also speaking, Chief Orji Eke Kalu, Chief Iroha Anaga, Ezieogo Kalu Abosi of Ndi Okala community, Ukoha Agwu Ukoha Kalu, and some women of the community said people hardly used the health centre in the past owing its lack of basic hospital equipment.

According to them, the health centre lacked bed and benches were used while the environment both unkept and insecure.

This they said this narrative has however changed following the fencing of the health centre, provision of borehole water and the installation of the new state of the art equipment.

They further asserted that the gesture has given them a great sense of belonging and assured of their commitment to stick with governor Otti and his Deputy by giving them their votes in bulk in 2027.

 

On the access road to the health centre, the Ezeogo Ukoha appealed to governor Otti to move his road infrastructure magic to the Ebem Ibina Ihenta road to enable them access the health centre smoothly as pregnant women and the sick find it difficult to access the health centre due to the bad road.

 

Speaking on behalf of women of the community, Mrs Rose Ukoha said the road is impassable now and it is worse during the rainy season, she called on Governor Otti to fix the road for them and assured him of their vote in 2027.

 

Adding their voices, a Youth leader Mr Agwu Mba Udonsi and Mrs Grace Kalu Udonsi who represented young women of the community thanked the governor in anticipation of his expected positive response to their request.

They eulogized governor Otti for his visible efforts in transforming the state and urged him to extend same gesture to other communities.
