The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially recognised the Senator David Mark led leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

The recognition on Tuesday follows a period of internal restructuring aimed at repositioning the party as a major opposition as the 2027 elections draw near.

This resulted in the emergence of new national executives, the majority of whom joined from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and other parties.

Other members of the NEC alongside Mark now officially recognized by INEC include Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola as National Secretary, Dr. Ibrahim Mani as National Treasurer, Akibu Dalhatu as National Financial Secretary, and Professor Oserheimen Aigberaodion Osunbor as National Legal Adviser.

Speaking to newsmen in Abuja, ADC spokesman, Bolaji Abdullahi said that the party has successfully completed its documentation with the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

He said the party has met all aspects of the documentation with the electoral umpire.
