President Tinubu To Commission Portharcourt Road, 6 Others on October 3
The long awaited commissioning of the newly reconstructed Portharcourt road in Aba, the commercial nerve center of the state by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will be held on October 3, 2025.
Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti made this known on Thursday September 11, 2025 while addressing stakeholders at the Aba Security Trust Fundraising Luncheon, held in his honour by the Aba business community.
Otti who says President Tinubu will also commission six other rehabilitated roads, reveales that the projects are part of his administration’s broader effort to revamp Aba’s infrastructure and restore its economic vibrancy.
He further unforms that all agreements have been signed with Radisson Blu for the redevelopment of Enyimba Hotel in Aba and assured stakeholders that construction work would commence soon, further boosting the hospitality sector and attracting investment into the state.
Expressing their views, some of the Aba business leaders, Chief Leo Ike Okoye, Ide John Udeagbala, and Mazi Jude Nwosu, commended the Governor’s infrastructural drive, stressing that Aba’s economic revival is now visible and tangible.
Meanwhile, work has begun at the Enyimba Hotel with heavy construction machines seen at various parts of the hotel environment clearing the site for the expected construction to begin as announced by Governor Otti.
